In less than two hours, three people died after three separate shooting incidents in D.C., officials with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said.

MPD said they first responded to the area of Bruce Place and Ainger Place SE. Once they arrived, the seven officers found a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said he was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. He was later identified as Quentin Brown, a Southeast area resident.

In the early morning, MPD officers responded to the intersection of 10th Street and Spring Road NW for the sound of gunfire.

Officers found three shooting victims -- Police said a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene and a woman and a teenage boy were taken to an area hospital, conscious and breathing.
